2280 Windows 95 Device Driver Installation

NOTE: The built-in drivers should already come installed.
To set up the 2280 as a PRIMARY PORT & install the Device Driver.

  1. Go the CONTROL PANEL of Windows95.
  2. Double-Click on the ADD NEW HARDWARE Icon.
  3. Click next to continue.
  4. Windows95 will now prompt you whether you want the Wizard to search for new hardware. Select NO, then Click Next.
  5. The HARDWARE TYPES window will now be displayed.
  6. Under MANUFACTURERS choose STANDARD HARD DISK DRIVERS.
  7. Under MODELS choose STANDARD IDE/ESDI HARD DISK CONTROLLER.
  8. If a window indicating a possible conflict exists, then take note of this conflict, and continue.
  9. Click FINISH to end installation.
  10. Windows 95 is going to ask you to RESTART SYSTEM changes have been made: Click on NO.
  11. Go to Control Panel.
  12. Double-Click on System. Click on Device Manager. Click on HardDisk Controllers.
  13. Highlight the STANDARD IDE/ESDI HARD DISK CONTROLLER.
  14. Click on PROPERTIES, then Click on RESOURCES.
  15. Make sure it is using BASIC CONFIGURATION 0.
  16. After all changes are made and are correct Click on OK.
  17. Remove any old DOS and Windows 3.1x drivers.
  18. Restart the computer.

  16. After all changes are made and are correct Click on OK.
  17. Remove any old DOS and Windows 3.1x drivers.
  18. Restart the computer.
