2280 Windows 95 Device Driver Installation
NOTE: The built-in drivers should already come
installed.
To set up the 2280 as a PRIMARY PORT & install the Device
Driver.
- Go the CONTROL PANEL of Windows95.
- Double-Click on the ADD NEW HARDWARE Icon.
- Click next to continue.
- Windows95 will now prompt you whether you want the Wizard
to search for new hardware. Select NO, then Click Next.
- The HARDWARE TYPES window will now be displayed.
- Under MANUFACTURERS choose STANDARD HARD DISK DRIVERS.
- Under MODELS choose STANDARD IDE/ESDI HARD DISK
CONTROLLER.
- If a window indicating a possible conflict exists, then
take note of this conflict, and continue.
- Click FINISH to end installation.
- Windows 95 is going to ask you to RESTART SYSTEM changes
have been made: Click on NO.
- Go to Control Panel.
- Double-Click on System. Click on Device Manager. Click on
HardDisk Controllers.
- Highlight the STANDARD IDE/ESDI HARD DISK CONTROLLER.
- Click on PROPERTIES, then Click on RESOURCES.
- Make sure it is using BASIC CONFIGURATION 0.
- After all changes are made and are correct Click on OK.
- Remove any old DOS and Windows 3.1x drivers.
- Restart the computer.

Device Driver.
